How to choose a concealed cistern
Frame height, flush volume and access panel — what to check before the wall is closed.
Start with the wall
A concealed cistern sits inside a stud wall or a pre-wall frame. Check the depth you have before choosing a model — most frames need 150 to 200 mm, and slimmer versions exist for tight refurbishments.
Match the pan and the plate
The cistern, the wall-hung pan and the flush plate need to work together. Ask us for the pan outlet height and fixing centres so the frame is set correctly on first fix.
Plan for access
Every concealed cistern needs servicing eventually. The flush plate doubles as the access panel, so place it where it can be reached without removing tiles or furniture.
